Mission:

To demonstrate God’s love and testify to the gospel of God by catering to the needs of society and serving the disadvantaged.

Objective:

To provide learning opportunities for children with special needs and help them integrate into the mainstream.

Service mode:

The nursery offers 6 integrated programme places under the care of a teacher who have received relevant training.

Service target:

Children aged two to six who are either:

1.being diagnosed as mildly mentally handicapped by professional psychologists or doctors
2.sightly physically handicapped and without serious mobility problem
3.mildly or moderately auditorily impaired
4.mildly visually impaired

Scope of service:

Provide opportunities for children with special needs to learn in a regular classroom, and provide them with the following trainings: 

1.Individual training

-Teaching based on children’s own needs and abilities

-Facilitate their involvement in group or classroom activities

2.Classroom training

-To provide appropriate intervention during class so as to enhance their ability of participation

3.Group training

-Enhance children’s interests and motivation in learning

-Revise what they have learnt with enhanced training opportunities

Service hours:

Mondays to Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Closed on public holidays and school holidays

Application:

1.The Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services by the Social Welfare Department is responsible for handling the application for the service at single entry points.

2.When there are available places in the service, the Central Referral System will refer eligible applicant for admission to the service according to the order of their dates of application.

3.Upon receiving the referral from the Central Referral System, the school will conduct an interview with the child to assess whether the he or she is suitable for admission.

Withdrawal:

1.The school will inform the applicant and the System by the end of the three-month trial when there are certain obvious reasons indicating the child is not suitable receiving service at the site.

2.If parents decide to withdraw from the service, they should notify us in writing one month in advance.
